This started close to home.
With family.

With the people I love.
And then one day, at my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday party — dressed in a unicorn suit — I watched how incredible people feel when they are celebrated, even in the simplest, silliest way.
Something clicked.
Celebration changes people.
It softens them.
It reminds them they matter.
So I started sending genuine birthday messages — first to people I knew, and then eventually to people I didn’t.

What came back surprised me.
